Candy is the most outgoing and friendly here at Coldwater. She always greets new people and dogs with a wagging tail, open heart and happy disposition yet she is still gentle and well-rounded. She truly enjoys every aspect of life (especially retrieving) and it shows. Her positive attitude blended with a high willingness to please will take this girl a very long way! Candy is out of the current top Labrador in the country Champion Simerdown's Dr Pepper. Her dam, Rose, was being walked on a leash down a busy road and was suddenly struck by a passing car and killed instantly. The person walking her was thankfully not too badly injured, but the loss or Rose was devastating to her owners and she can never be replaced. We are only thankful for Candy and all titles will be in honor of her beloved mother Rose. Her lines combine some of the same as Pearl, with true Dual Swedish Champions as well as some American Field Trial Champions in her background. With the assistance of this lovely girl, I hope to maintain some of the finest show and hunt test lines that are available in the United States. I am very excited about Candy and what she will bring to the future of our kennel. Candy is an outstanding retriever and has gained her first NHARA started pass and some wonderful comments concerning her drive and conformation from the judges and "peanut gallery". Her future will probably hold a Canadian Championship, American Championship and hopefully a Master Hunter title!
